Sweet Stampin' all that glitters; RCC36

Hi all!

I am entering this card into Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog's challenge #36, which was a sketch challenge.

Also entering it to Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog's "all that glitters challenge", in which they wanted us to incorporate glitter or sparkle. I added white glitter to the heart on the card, of which I'll show a close-up for in a bit.

Here's my card:

And here's the close-up, in which you can see the heart covered in white glitter:

I wanted to go for a masculine look, so used a palette of a rich dark red, cream, chocolate and white. Instead of ribbon, I used a coarse twine that comes from the hardware store. I got this sentiment from my stash of stamped images. I don't know who makes it. It came stamped in colored ink. The heart is popped up on mounting tape.

Supplies used:
stamp: unknown Love sentiment stamp
ink: unknown
card stock: Papertrey Ink- Fine Linen, Dark Chocolate; Georgia Pacific white; unknown dark red (probably Stampin' Up!)
accessories: Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter; Fiskars corner rounder punch; mounting tape; Cuttlebug embossing folder- Swiss Dots; coarse off-white twine

Thanks for looking!

  4. Perfect male card!

Unfortunately some of the Sweet Stampin' DT girls have been unable to leave comments on your blog this week. The rest of the team have rallied round (as you can see!) to try & make sure that everyone gets comments but it would be a tremendous help if you would consider the fix. Apparently this is due to blogger issues with an embedded comments box & the way to cure it it is to have a pop up box instead. If you need instructions on how to do this, please see here

where Alison has provided a quick walk though, it's a simple process!

Thank you so much & we appreciate you playing along with Sweet Stampin' xx
