Sincere canine apologies...

Hi all!

I made this card for my neighbors, whose apartment was burst into by my rowdy dogs who were in search of a doggie playmate. I don't know them well enough to feel comfortable for my dogs to go in and invade their space, although they were laughing and petting my girls. I felt so horrible! I was going for my usual midnight walk with the girls off-leash, thinking everyone had gone to bed. My neighbors, however, were watching tv with their door open and the girls went right in to greet their dog. And to top it off, they were completely ignoring me when I asked them to come out and leave the poor people alone! I am sick and doped on allergy meds, so I don't think I was exuding that authoritative energy that dogs seem to respond to. Anyway, I slipped the card under their door with a post-it note inside that says that my dogs extend their deepest apologies for the ruckus they caused last night, and that the card is for them to re-use as they see fit.

Here's the card:

I am in love with how it turned out. I used an old sketch from the My Favorite Things blog, the MFTWSC49 sketch but flipped counterclockwise. I assembled the layers and then stamped part of a phrase from a Verve Stamps set, and added the "..." with a Copic multiliner. The whole phrase says "So sorry you hurt". I only inked and stamped the part that says "so sorry". I think this little Tilda looks like she's apologizing, and had marked her mentally for exactly this type of card.

I will be entering this card on the Papertake Weekly Challenge blog, whose challenge this week was an anything goes with the option of "new something".

Here's the supply list for the card:
