Pink Floral Elegance

Hi all!

I will be entering this card into the several challenges:

The Pixie Cottage is featuring a two part challenge. Challenge #102 was to either use the sketch or make a monochromatic card (this means the card is predominantly one color). I chose to go with the monochromatic theme with my mostly pink card.

The Pixie Dust Studio blog is also hosting a monochromatic challenge on their challenge #108. Have you seen the design team samples over there? They use Pixie Dust Studio images and those images are the most adorable I have seen in my life. I love their style. Too cute!

Shopping Our Stash blog was featuring challenge #33, which was either a rewind (use the theme/specifications of one of their previous challenges), or to use a Meljen's image, which is the sponsor for this challenge. I chose the rewind option to use challenge SOS32, which was to use ribbon, twine or ric rac in your project. I went with using sheer pink ribbon.

Here's the card:

For this card I used a sketch from an old sketch challenge by the My Favorite Things blog, challenge MFTWSC4.

The doily-looking round element was cut out using the cricut on white card stock and then I covered it with cream ink and then paper pierced the scallops/arcs on the design. The flower image was stamped on the circle in the middle and then I sponged pink ink around the image.

supplies used:

stamps: Year of Flowers 1 by Flourishes
ink: Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet; Versamagic in wheat
card stock: Papertrey Ink- fine linen; Colorbok textured white card stock
designer paper- I know it's Anna Griffin, but do not know the collection. It was a scrap from my scrap pile.
accessories: sheer pink ribbon; paper piercing tool; sponge dauber; cricut cutout from the Paper Lace cartridge

Thanks for looking!
